Due to years of gang violence terrorizing the nation, Haiti is in the midst of a massive humanitarian crisis. God has given FOMM guidance and a strategy to step into this crisis and deliver humanitarian aid.

Nearly half of Haiti’s population is food insecure, with around 4.35 million people in urgent need of food assistance. Major aid agencies are at a standstill because of the violence.

When I felt the Lord urge me to start feeding the poor, my question was, “How?” Distribution is nearly impossible with gangs controlling all roads in and out of Port-au-Prince. Then I heard clearly: Start with your church—it’s full of the poor.

After receiving this word, a businessman reached out to me, saying, “I have an offering, and I want to feed hungry people.”

With our staff, we decided to prioritize the elderly, widows, orphans, and the extremely poor. We bought food locally and prepared kits with essentials that could sustain a small family for one or two weeks.

Fishers of Men distributed over 200 meal kits containing rice, beans, cooking oil, spices, tomato sauce, spaghetti, and other items.

Praise be to the Lord!

Through word of mouth and a Facebook post, we have raised enough for our second distribution. Thank you, Jesus! But we need your help.

Our Goal

Our aim is to conduct at least one distribution each month to feed the elderly, widows, and orphans.

We hope to grow and reach even more people in need. It costs around $5,000 to provide food for 300 families per distribution.

Our prayer is that God will inspire many to join us in helping these suffering families.
